Where We Come From

A-1 Mobile Lock & Key was founded in 1980 and has been under current family ownership since 1989. Since its inception, the company has thrived on hard work and meeting the changing needs of our customers.  Through this hard work, we’ve been able to grow the business from one mobile locksmith to four full-service vans and a shop location in Burlington with 7 full-time employees.  We have also grown our coverage area to include Skagit, San Juan, Island and Snohomish Counties.  As the premier locksmith in these areas, we strive to provide fast, friendly and knowledgeable locksmith service.

Where We’re Going

The locksmith industry has changed significantly in the past 10 years.  Commercial locksmithing is moving away from traditional keys to electronic access control including keypads, badges, and biometric credentials.  The automotive industry has implemented transponder-based anti-theft systems in 90 percent of the vehicles made today.  Keeping ahead of changes like these is important us and it’s important to our customers. That’s why we invest in being able to service and install these high security systems so we that we can serve our customers to the highest standards.
